Portable Propane Grill: Use It Anywhere And Get Great Cooking Taste

Propane adds a distinct flavoring to food because the food is cooked over an open flame. Although the taste isn't smoky, it's savory. An electric grill simply cannot provide that particular zest. This is one reason for the popularity of the portable propane grill.

With electric grills, if there's no available outlet, such as if you're at a rustic cabin or campsite, you're out of luck. Electric grills, even small portable ones, are confined to just places that are wired for electricity. This is another advantage of the portable propane grill.

Charcoal is cumbersome to store and produces lots of smoke; thus everything you cook has an infused smoky flavor and electric grills just don't add that atmosphere that sitting outdoors while grilling in the sun while the choking smoke disrupts the party adds.

The same major brands Weber, Stansport, Meco, Brinkman, Masterbuilt and Char Broil, all make portable propane grills. But, Masterbuilt tends to carry more Charcoal and Electric grills than propane ones.

Weber's model 396001 Q 200 Portable Propane Gas Grill is the first hybrid gas grill that acts as both a full-functioning backyard grill and a portable gas grill. It's grill has rust-proof cast aluminum lids and bottoms, plus a porcelain-enameled, cast-iron cooking grate. They say, "Everywhere you look, the Q has quality written all over it, unlike those other inferior grills that end up looking like an old car after one season."

There's an optional stand, available; and as with all portable propane grills, the propane tank and grilling utensils aren't included. Generally, you pay for the price of the tank the first time, and then once it's empty, you swap the empty tank with a filled one.

Weber's model 586002 Q-320 Stainless Steel Liquid Propane Gas Grill has a total Cooking Area of 393 square inches, heats at a rate of 21,700 BTU-per-hour, has two Stainless Steel Burners, a tall Lid Profile and has a built-in Thermometer & Handle Light. It uses a Refillable 20lbs. LP Tank. It's carton Dimensions are: Width : 39 in. Height : 21 in. Depth : 30 in. and it weighs 85 lbs.

The Weber Q series is quickly becoming the most popular propane grill of the Weber series. Its reasonable price and good looks makes it popular for the outdoor cooking enthusiast.

The Q200 is a single 12,000 btu burner which can be used table mounted, or adapted to a seperate grill stand which is usually sold seperately.

The Q300 is the same grill but has 2 burners outputting about 23,000 BTU of cooking heat, making it very popular for those who entertain frequently or in numbers.

The Q320 evolved by remedying certain deficiencies that people complained about with the Q300. This model has everything the Q300 has but also includes the top "bun warming" rack up top, and instant start ignition. This is the finest drill I have yet to own, and could not really ask for more unless it can somehow auto-cook.

Stansport's model 235-100 is a Portable Stainless Steel Propane Barbeque Grill which features durable stainless steel construction, a 129 square-inch cooking surface and 20,000 B.T.U. output grill burner with adjustable vent windows. It's light weight and easily transported and uses either 16.4 oz disposable propane cylinders or bulk tanks.

The Picnic Time Portagrillo Heavy Duty Portable Gas Grill, model number 776-00-175 is a heavy-duty, portable propane grill with built-in igniter and two slide out side tables. The legs fold for easy storage, but the Propane and Trolley aren't included.
